After preparing a small feast over Thanksgiving vacation, I decided the food looked to good to not photograph Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies [EASY: only 4 ingredients!] 1 (18 oz) jar peanut butter 1 1/4 cup of sugar 2 eggs 9 oz. package of Hershey kisses Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Stir all ingredients together except the kisses. holiday inspiration.
After silk screening in my graphic design class this morning, I decided the best holiday gifts are HANDMADE gifts. I began making a list of things I can print on: totes, aprons, wrapping paper, boxes, christmas stockings, lampshades, photo albums, picture frames/mats, place mats, pillow cases, pot holders, notebooks/binders/journals, hats, coasters, coffee mugs. and...another textile.
Since my textiles class is consuming my life, most of the art I am producing is in the form of a textile. My latest: a woven wall hanging.  I wove linen and cotton and then silk screened organic shapes I designed in Adobe Illustrator. Keeping busy/being creative! -SB

a love for frames.
I am inspired by clusters of photo frames, and frame-like elements. I love grouping multiple objects to create an interesting composition on an empty wall. Check out these two ideas: I think both are pretty awesome! -SB

my machine.
It suddenly dawned on me, that my sewing machine is not quite what it used to be. Handed down from my grandmother, this wonderful 1950 Brother sewing machine isn’t exactly in wonderful condition anymore, but it is pretty to look at.
