wool.
My final textiles project- a garment. I hand dyed jagger spun wool, wove up about 10 yards, felted the material, and created my own pattern. The results? I came up with this blueish black wool jacket, complete with a silk liner and oversized collar. Hopefully this will keep me toasty during this frigid cold front. I’d love to know your thoughts on this piece!

I screened some cute little holiday outfits for my nephew Kade. Aren’t they just adorable?

pencil pouch.
You guessed it: another textiles project! After weaving some cotton yardage, I screened the fabric a solid mustard color, then printed an image over top. I sewed in a silk liner, added a zipper and a handle- and voila!!….an adorable pencil pouch! -SB
monogrammed mugs.
As promised, I tried screening my very own monogrammed mugs, inspired by west elm (previously posted). Check them out below:
Each mug was about $1.30; these easy Christmas gifts were relatively inexpensive to produce. However, printing on a rounded surface proved to be challenging.
